WE R THE K’s. Labelled by our surname. At some point we’ve changed morphed and modified our names or the spellings- but deep down, we all identify with R K.
We are an above the average sized family who have gone through our fair share of struggles and issues. This does not set us apart, its only chipped away at the excesses and made us what we are today. A close-knit dysfunctional family. We love ourselves. We love each other. And we love to hate each other as well. We have our crests and troughs. And nothing is ever even keeled. We don’t know what that means and we are all ok with it.
Our lives started in what used to be referred to as the ‘garden city of India – Bangalore’. Today, we have all lived in various other locations and are either settled or staying in other locations. The only thing in our life that has been a constant is probably change and of course each other.
If someone were to introduce us and say, they are a well travelled, ‘silent bunch’, or like we’ve been told a number of times earlier, ‘be seen not heard’ I would laugh myself into peeing in my pants. Because anyone who has interacted with us will tell you. We are not silent. We are not just seen. And we are not obedient.
Let me make that absolutely clear. We create our own rules. Because we don’t put much importance to generic rules that have been created to stifle your personal growth or development. That being said, when you actually proceed to the next page and actually see the list of things we have each achieved, it should put things in perspective. Sometimes, our skills and achievements may seem random but I can honestly say that each of those achievements have come at a price and we value each and every one of them.
Each of us is a unit. And all of us create the whole. Obvious much! Yea. but that’s just us and that’s just how we roll. Join us on this journey where we have put down our likes, dislikes and passions and how we got there and where we’re heading from there. There has been a lot of learning along the way and this is us trying to put things down, so as to be able to help those who may not have the luxury of time to reach the same conclusions. Enjoy
