Something on your “to-do list” that never gets done.

My ‘to-do’ list has stuff that revolves around what the family needs along with what I need to complete everyday as well. And often, this also includes bell- buzz times, which is times when stuff I’ve ordered gets delivered. Every trip to the front door to receive the parcel is a 1/2 hour chunk that simply just vanishes. The delivery folk wait to hand over parcels personally , hence this time has to be accounted for.

The kids are growing, and in our effort to make them a little more independent we have set up devices and accounts for them to interact with their respective game teams. They may get to travel on their own for practice but matches requires them to be accompanied by an adult and this is the ‘unknown’ that keeps getting added into my ‘to-do’ list. If the spouse is free and is around, there are no issues. But sometimes, that’s not possible and I get roped in and that’s when things go skewed on my list. I’ve had to have groceries delivered to the doormat as I had to step out because the kids in their effort to get independent did not realise that I may have other things planned and did not consider that in their plans.

Typically my list will include, my doodle time, which is locked until my fingers cannot grip a pen, once that happens I move to either typing / blogging or design on a device. The doodling and zen tangling time is usually 4 hours. Beyond this, I won’t even be able to sit up. The typing /blogging is usually a 2 hour chunk of time, after which I am either binge watching something or read. In the event that I’ve been hijacked, on a kid related event, then my art goes for a toss, and typing I manage to do when I reach my destination. So the one thing that I usually never reach on my to-do list is read. It’s something I enjoy, but something that I always abandon, because I snarl when I am forced to abandon it for some last minute shenanigans.
